Project Description This scope of work details the work required to be carried out to provide a complete Rev-6 Gas well installation, including wellhead piping/equipment, piping at wellsite, flowline and piping at existing remote headers. The scope also details the work required to perform cladded pipe spool with inconel 625 of wellhead piping.

The facilities shall be constructed/installed in accordance with this scope of work, standards and drawings referenced herein. The project drawings referenced in Section 2.9 provides construction locations, dimensions, layout and installation details. CONTRACTOR shall prepare wellsite including excavation, backfill, grading, etc. and shall construct a 47-meters wide rig road inside the wellpad between the two vehicle access gates by replacing marl with road sub-base material per SAES-Q-006 (without asphalt).

4.1.5
CONTRACTOR shall prepare lifting and transportation scheme for corrosion inhibitor injection portable shelters and get approval from Saudi Aramco representative before installation.
4.1.6
CONTRACTORshall construct and install thrust anchors per SAES-L-440.
4.1.7
CONTRACTOR shall construct berms and paved/camel/rig road crossings. CONTRACTOR shall upgrade existing road crossings to meet the required earth cover in accordance with SAES-L-460 and Standard Drawing AC-036660.
4.1.8
CONTRACTOR shall grade and fence the wellsite and surrounding area as shown on project drawings.
4.1.9
CONTRACTOR shall construct a flowline right of way in accordance with SAES-L-450 and drawings. The width of the constructed right of way shall be 7m from the toe of slope of the berm on the North or West side. The finished grade elevation of the right of way shall conform to approved survey documents. The right of way shall be offset at camel crossing locations to provide access to crossings from the right of way. The right of way shall be a minimum of 300mm thick after compaction.
4.1.10
CONTRACTOR shall fabricate and install pipe identification markers and/or combined kilometer marker/CP test stations. Support posts shall be in accordance with Standard Drawing AB-036907.
4.1.11
CONTRACTORshall clean-up and level all marl on grade and sand pits within 200-meters of the new facilities.
4.1.12
CONTRACTOR shall fabricate and install clamped type pipe depth marker gauges at all pre-formed overbends and side bends along the flowline route as per the Project Drawings.

General 4.2.1
CONTRACTOR shall perform all surveys necessary including the verification of all dimensions, angles and elevations before fabrication and installation. The Bottom Of Pipe (B.O.P.) elevations and bend angles shall be used as guide lines and shall confirm the elevation and bend angles to ensure conformance to SAUDI ARAMCO standards.

All excavations within the wellsite areas shall be by hand unless otherwise directed by SAUDI ARAMCO Representatives.
OPERATIONS
AMR DATE:
All excavations for foundations and underground facilities shall be in accordance with SAUDI ARAMCO Engineering Standards SAES-A-114 and SAES-Q-005 and shall be excavated to the levels, and depths specified in the project drawings and/or SAUDI ARAMCO standards.
Confined space permit entry requirements must be adhered to on all excavations deeper than 4-feet.
CAH DATE:
CONTRACTOR shall set grade, alignment and offset stakes which conform to the approved work survey documents at 50-meter (maximum) intervals. These stakes shall be used to determine CONTRACTOR's progress and compliance with the project drawings and specifications. All offset stakes shall not be removed during construction and shall be maintained for the duration of construction activities.
Care shall be taken to avoid damage to existing underground facilities during excavation work. This is especially important when crossing other existing flowlines and cables. If CONTRACTOR encounters any pipes, cables, concrete, or other obstructions not indicated on the drawings, CONTRACTORshall immediately inform SAUDI ARAMCORepresentative in writing and subsequent construction operations shall continue in accordance with written instructions issued by SAUDI ARAMCO Representative. CONTRACTOR shall have available provide suitable detectors for finding pipe and cables.

4.2.5
CONTRACTOR shall be responsible to provide and haul all sand and marl required for the work from a source approved by SAUDI ARAMCO.
4.2.6
All fill material utilized on this project around and under foundations shall be select fill. The type of fill material and fill compaction shall be in accordance with SAES-A-114. In place density tests shall be performed as directed by SAUDI ARAMCO Representative to ensure compliance with the compaction requirements.
4.2.7

4.2.8
Excavation shall be limited to the minimum necessary to perform the work. The CONTRACTOR shall hand excavate all crossings with existing flowlines and pipelines along the route to the new flowline and pipeline, unless SAUDI ARAMCO gives written approval to utilize machines which can operate without damaging the existing flowlines. The CONTRACTOR shall exercise extreme caution at crossings as existing cables may be running in the same berm as the flowlines or in close proximity to it and the flowlines may be carrying high pressure and/or poisonous or toxic gases and/or fluids.
4.2.9
CONTRACTOR shall ensure that all side, sag and over bends shall have a minimum cover in accordance with the Project Drawings. In sandy areas, cover is defined as the distance measured from the top of pipe to the surrounding finished grade and no credit shall be taken for the height of the berm without the written approval of the SAUDI ARAMCO Representative. CONTRACTOR shall load and transport concrete which shall conform to SAUDI ARAMCO Material Specifications 09-SAMSS-097 and be from a source approved by SAUDI ARAMCO Representative. All concretework shall conform to SAUDI ARAMCO Engineering StandardSAES-Q-001.
4.2.12
CONTRACTOR shall mix, place and cure structural concrete per the ACI Manual of concrete practice. A minimum compressive strength of 4000 PSI after 28 days shall be obtained. One set of four test cylinders shall be made for each 50 cu.m. of concrete or portion thereof, poured on any day. CONTRACTOR shall perform a slump test on site for each batch of concrete, which must be acceptable to SAUDI ARAMCO Representative prior to pouring. These cylinders shall be tested per ACI 318 by CONTRACTOR or it’s SAUDI ARAMCO approved Sub-Contractor. Test results shall be provided to SAUDI ARAMCO's Representative within 48 hours of the test date.

CONTRACTOR shall cut and cold bend reinforcing steel to shapes and dimensions specified in the Project Drawings. FBE coating to rebar shall be repaired using APCS-113 material with SAUDI ARAMCO Stock No. 09-697-833 or equal approved proprietary FBE rebar patching material. The material is supplied in 0.5 liter two parts kit which should not be split. Concrete shall be poured on one layer of 6 mil polyethylene sheeting extended 100 mm on all four sides of the form work of all poured in place concrete (except for rock anchors) and the areas in contact with soil or backfill shall be coated with two coats of coal tar or bitumen coating that conforms to APCS-10 of SAES-H-101V.
4.2.16
Below grade concrete surfaces, except the underside, on all poured in place concrete anchors and foundations shall be coated per SAES-H-101V and APCS-10. Precast footings and foundations shall also have the underside coated prior to placement and back filling.
4.2.17
Locations of anchor bolts in concrete foundations shall be verified with vendor and fabrication drawings and shall not touch the reinforcement steel.
4.2.18
All non galvanized steel supports which are to be partially embedded in a concrete foundation, shall be coated in compliance with SAES-H-101V and APCS-1C for a minimum distance of 150mm on either side of the concrete surface.

The projecting portion of anchor bolts to the bottom of base plate plus the first 75 mm embedded in concrete shall be coated in compliance with SAES-H-101V and APCS-1C. Threads are excluded.

Prior to placing concrete into forms, forms and rebar shall be sprayed with water to prevent loss of moisture from the concrete.

All non shrink grout shall be applied under base plates of equipment and supports in accordance with SAES-Q-010 and manufacturer's recommended procedures. Grout shall be poured in a high fluidity range and shall be free of voids and air pockets. The CONTRACTOR shall take measures to follow grout manufacturer's recommended procedure precisely.

All marl road and asphalt road crossings shall be constructed of marl fill, compacted in 300 mmlifts to 95% of the modified proctor density per ASTM-D-1556 or ASTM-D-2167, to the requirements of SAES-L-450 and the drawings.

All existing facilities at or near the work site shall be carefully protected from damage.

Backfill for anchors and foundations shall be compacted per SAES-A-114. Backfilling shall only be performed after foundations have been approved by SAUDI ARAMCO Representative.

CONTRACTOR shall restore all marl rig roads and minor roads crossed during construction to original condition. CONTRACTORshall stabilize all berms constructed or disturbed during construction with weathered crude oil. Radiography 6.2.3.1 Welds of all diameters on wellhead piping plus 100 meter downstream of the wellsite fence shall be radiographed in accordance with SAES-W-012. 6.2.3.2. A minimum of 10% of threaded connections (to confirm thread engagement) and all other welds shall be randomly selected by SAUDI ARAMCO and radiographed by the CONTRACTOR.

6.2.2.6 CONTRACTORshall ensure that all electrodes are suitable for the materials to be welded and shall be stored in a moisture free environment. Where applicable, CONTRACTOR shall provide and maintain heated electrode storage. CONTRACTOR shall supply a large size oven for baking and pre-heating electrodes and the quiver type boxes shall be utilized on site only to maintain the temperature. Open boxes or loose electrodes shall not be left at the job site after the end of work periods and shall be collected and returned for proper storage.

CONTRACTOR shall dewater the trenches or excavations and reinstate sand padding prior to installation of all below grade piping.

CONTRACTOR shall remove and dispose abandoned piping or other structures for tie-ins as specified by SAUDI ARAMCO Representative to permit tie-in to existing facilities.

SAUDI ARABIAN OIL COMPANY Care shall be taken to avoid damage to existing underground facilities during excavation work. If during excavation CONTRACTOR encounters any pipes, cables, concrete or other obstructions not indicated on the drawings, he shall then continue in accordance with subsequent instructions from SAUDI ARAMCO Representative. Any damage to existing underground facilities caused by CONTRACTOR or his SAUDI ARAMCO approved Sub-Contractors, shall be promptly corrected to original conditions at no extra cost to SAUDI ARAMCO.
7.2.4
CONTRACTOR shall install grounding conductors and grounding of electrical equipment in accordance with SAUDI ARAMCO Engineering Standard SAES-P-111, SAES-J-902 and the NEC.
7.2.5
CONTRACTORshall supply and install all wire markers Heat Shrinkable type.
7.2.6
Underground electric cable/conduits shall be installed and marked in accordance with SAUDI ARAMCO Standard Drawing AD-036874, AB-036273 and AB-036326. Conductors have to be Megger tested after installation and prior to final terminations. Megger test to be performed using motor driven megger tester. Testing equipment must be calibrated and certified by a recognized third party testing agency.
7.2.7
Electrical connections at the panel boards, battery charger and battery banks shall be securely torqued. Torque values have to be as per equipment specification or NEC standard.
7.2.8
CONTRACTOR shall provide safety and warning signs on battery enclosure as per SAES-P-103.
7.2.9
SAUDI ARAMCO representative has to be informed with early notification to witness the precommissioning and commissioning tests.
7.2.10 Compression (crimped) type connectors shall be used for terminating stranded conductors.

8.2.1
Installation of instruments includes in total the instrument tags, instrument mounting, tubing associated conduits, cable and grounding.
8.2.2
All work shall be performed in strict compliance with the Project Drawings, specifications and standards as listed in section 2 and 3 of this scope of work.
8.2.3
Locally mounted instruments shall be installed as near to the point of measurement as possible and shall be easily accessible from ground level.
8.2.4
The installation of instruments shall be in accordance with the relevant Instrument Installation Drawing, using materials specified for each installation. Instruments and tubing runs shall be located as indicated on the relevant Points and Lines diagrams, but in general shall be mounted so as to:

Vessels, handrails or other equipment shall not be used to support instruments without the express written permission of Saudi Aramco Representative.
8.2.6
CONTRACTOR shall ensure that all tubing runs are adequately supported and protected from mechanical damage and vibration to the satisfaction of Saudi Aramco Representative.
8.2.7
Locally mounted instruments, valves, tubing stainless steel components, gauges, cabling etc., shall be protected from sand blasting and paint damage during surface preparation and painting operations by covering polyethylene sheeting or other suitable means.
8.2.8
Locally mounted instruments shall be tagged with traffolyte labels using 316 stainless steel screws in accordance with drawings. Labels shall be fixed adjacent to the instrument on the instrument mounting stand or local steel work. These labels shall be fitted in such a manner to assure that they will not become loose under process and weather conditions.
8.2.9
To reduce the number of fittings, the maximum use of tubing bends shall be used in accordance with good practice. All bends shall be made with tubing benders and long runs shall be made in continuous lengths to reduce the number of joints to a minimum. Tubing shall be cut using a tube cutter and the cut surface deburred.

8.2.10 Tubing runs shall be installed so that all connections are accessible from the ground. The runs shall be symmetrical and shall be vertical, horizontal or parallel to the structure. Bends shall be free of dents, ripples or distortion.

8.2.14 interconnecting piping between items of equipment shall be installed after securing and leveling the equipment. 8.2.15 Horizontal runs of process sensing lines shall be installed with a slope of not less than 1 in 12 and shall be sloped towards the nearest drain point. 8.2.16 Before make-up of threaded joints, threads shall be brushed clean. A Saudi Aramco approved sealant shall be applied to the male portion of all taper threads. Care shall be taken to ensure that the interior of the piping system does not become contaminated and that excessive sealant is not applied. Teflon tape (or equivalent) is strictly prohibited. 8.2.17 Where compression fittings are used, the fittings shall be installed in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

8.2.19 All open ports on field mounted instruments shall be plugged. Ports which must remain open to the atmosphere shall be fitted with a male stud coupling, a short length of tube turned down and a bug screen to prevent the entrance of foreign matter. 8.2.20 Instrumentation mounted directly on process pipe work (e.g. line mounted pressure instruments, gauges etc.) shall only be installed after all pipe construction, flushing and hydrotesting has been completed. All safety relief valves, control valves and other in-line instrumentation shall be removed prior to line / system flushing or hydrotesting. Supervised labor shall be provided to remove and reinstall these items, with checks being made to ensure correct flow direction after reinstallation. Temporary spool pieces shall be provided for removed items.

8.2.21 Terminations made to field mounted primary measuring elements, which will have to be withdrawn periodically for servicing or calibration checks, shall have sufficient coiled cable to allow the instrument to be withdrawn without electrical disconnection. 8.2.22 All instrument tubing lines shall be blown out with clean dry instrument air or with dry nitrogen as approved by Saudi Aramco Representative prior to testing.

8.2.23 The installation of all electrical / electronic equipment in hazardous areas shall be in accordance with the requirements of NEC, NEMA ICS 6, NEMA250 and IEC 144.

8.2.24 An inspection of each instrumentation installation for conformance to specifications and drawings shall be carried out by CONTRACTOR prior to Mechanical Completion to ensure compliance to applicable standards and to good engineering and construction practices.

9.1.1
CONTRACTOR shall sand blast external girth welds and use APCS-113A coating for buried installation.
9.1.2
CONTRACTOR shall identify the date that a joint is externally coated by paint stencil on the outside of the pipe.
9.1.3
CONTRACTOR shall transport fabricated pipe spool pieces and components to and from the coating plant for application of fusion bonded epoxy FBE coating irrespective of the number of trips required to have the pipe and piping components coated. CONTRACTOR shall supply fusion bonded epoxy FBE coating to a SAUDI ARAMCO approved coating plant.
9.1.4
CONTRACTOR shall apply heat shrink sleeving to small bore piping/tubing as shown on the Project Drawings.
9.1.5
CONTRACTORshall clean, prepare and paint guard rails and crash barriers in accordance with SAESH-101V, APCS-6 using alternating Black/Yellow stripes. APCS-6 Painting shall comply with the approved Manufacturer's Data Sheet listed in SAES-H-101V.
9.1.6
CONTRACTOR shall paint all metal surfaces on supports in accordance with SAES-H-101V and APCS-4 and APCS-26.
9.1.7
CONTRACTOR shall paint all below grade concrete surfaces for anchors and pipe support posts in accordance with SAES-H-101V and APCS-10. CONTRACTOR shall grout structural base plates on platform foundations, removable anchors, pipe supports and other concrete foundations in accordance with SAES-Q-010.
9.1.8
Anchor bolts shall be coated in accordance with requirements of SAES-Q-001.
9.1.9
CONTRACTOR shall paint kilometer markers, pipeline identification markers, test stations and mounting support posts in accordance with SAES-H-101V and APCS-26.

SECTION 10.0 - HYDROSTATIC TESTING

10.1 General

CONTRACTOR shall perform complete hydro testing to ensure a properly manufactured and constructed pipework system, to include but not be limited to the following: 10.1.1 CONTRACTOR shall hydrostatic test all valves as specified on the Project hydrostatic test drawing schedules.

10.1.2 CONTRACTORshall seat test all 2-inch and larger valves prior to installation. 10.1.3 CONTRACTOR shall flush all lines with water to ensure the line is clean of all sand, dirt or construction debris prior to hydro testing. Stainless steel pipe shall be flushed with demineralized water. Pipelines shall be scraped in order to obtain required cleanliness before hydro testing. CONTRACTOR shall hydrostatic test lines to the hydrostatic test pressures shown on the Project hydrostatic test drawing schedule. 10.1.4 CONTRACTOR shall hydro test any existing piping system requiring revalidation due to tie-in welding, up to the next available flange. SAUDI ARAMCORepresentative shall provide test pressure.

10.1.5 CONTRACTORshall depressurize, de-water and air dry and perform final tie-in after hydrostatic testing is complete, all testing accessories are removed, and the flowline is drained and accepted by SAUDI ARAMCO Representative.

10.1.6
CONTRACTOR shall perform multiple scraper runs to ensure the pipe is completely dry to SAUDI ARAMCO Representative’s satisfaction.
10.1.7
CONTRACTOR shall perform nitrogen purging for the piping system to ensure the system is water/oxygen free and lay up in accordance with SAES-A-007.
10.1.8
CONTRACTOR shall hydrostatically test piping in accordance with SAUDI ARAMCO Engineering Standards SAES-A-004 and SAES-A-007 and SAUDI ARAMCO approved hydrostatic testing procedure.
10.1.9
CONTRACTOR shall submit a detailed hydrostatic test plan and procedure to SAUDI ARAMCO Representative for approval at least thirty (30) days before each test or at SAUDI ARAMCO’s sole option, on a schedule provided at the kick-off meeting.

10.1.11 SAUDI ARAMCO shall provide all the in-line materials (i.e. spectacle plates, blind flanges, caps and plugs) which are necessary for hydrostatic testing. CONTRACTOR shall install the necessary materials for hydrostatic testing. CONTRACTOR shall provide all materials and shall fabricate all test headers required to perform the hydrostatic test and shall pretest test headers in accordance with SAES-A-056. prior to commencing the hydrostatic test. CONTRACTOR shall furnish documents certifying that the calibration of all instruments is performed by a SAUDI ARAMCO approved independent testing laboratory. CONTRACTOR shall submit the documents to the SAUDI ARAMCO Representative for review less than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled hydrostatic test.
10.1.14 CONTRACTOR shall implement Pressure Testing Safety precautions and shall clear personnel not involved in the test from the immediate area. 10.1.15 CONTRACTOR shall locate and repair leaks and shall retest until no leaks occur. System shall be depressurized to zero prior to repairing leaks. 10.1.16 After hydrostatic testing is completed and accepted, CONTRACTOR shall furnish and lay temporary evasion pipe to drain the hydrostatic test water. CONTRACTOR shall construct temporary drain ponds to contain drained hydrostatic test water. CONTRACTOR shall supply on a 24 hours per day basis security personnel until the water evaporates to preclude consumption by humans or livestock. CONTRACTOR shall backfill the drain pond to a contour to match the existing grade after evaporation of all test water.

10.1.13 Prior to commencement of hydrostatic testing, CONTRACTOR shall isolate or remove any instrumentation or equipment that is not included in the test. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that instrumentation and equipment removed is not damaged during their removal and storage using approved procedure. CONTRACTOR shall reinstall instrumentation and equipment removed after completion and acceptance of hydrostatic testing.

Shutdown 11.1.1
CONTRACTOR shall plan and execute the work so that all existing facilities remain in service until final tie-ins are made. Shutdowns of existing facilities shall be scheduled by SAUDI ARAMCO Representative and CONTRACTOR shall be informed of the shutdown dates as early as possible so CONTRACTOR can schedule work activities for the shutdown and execute the work to minimize the shut down duration.
11.1.2
CONTRACTOR shall submit a detailed shutdown procedure for SAUDI ARAMCO representative’s approval at least two weeks before a scheduled shutdown.
Tie-Ins 11.2.1
CONTRACTOR shall submit a detailed tie-in procedure for SAUDI ARAMCO Representative's approval at least two weeks before a tie-in is scheduled.
11.2.2
CONTRACTOR shall provide evasion piping and equipment required to dewater existing line sections before cutting and tying in a new line.
11.2.3
Tie-ins shall be witnessed by the SAUDI ARAMCO Representative.
As-Built Drawings 11.3.1
CONTRACTOR shall maintain on a daily basis, 2 sets of As-Built drawings accurately reflecting all changes made during the construction of this project. CONTRACTOR shall submit to the SAUDI ARAMCO Representative two complete sets of construction packages marked up with all As-Built changes and dated, including MTO list prior to MCC. The As-Built mark ups shall be done in a professional manner utilizing the green color for all deletions and the red for all additions or changes. The CONTRACTOR's surveyor field books shall be included with the As-Built Drawings. Two copies of all QA/QC documentation (indexed and bound) shall be submitted to SAUDI ARAMCO on the completion of this Project. All drawings shall have a revised copy of the material take off (MTO), reflecting all changes made during construction in regard to quantities, substitutions or deletions.
11.3.2
CONTRACTORshall transfer information from vendor drawings to Project Drawings.

CONTRACTOR shall obtain a Work Permit before working in any area. Work Permits shall be obtained where work encroaches within 100 ft of any pipeline, 200 ft of any powerline, within any excavation deeper than 4 feet and within any designated “restricted area”. Dual signatures are required if the work will affect the operation of another operating area.

CONTRACTOR shall notify SAUDI ARAMCO Representative and apply for Hot Work permit twenty four (24) hours in advance and Cold Work permit one (1) week in advance.
